Nathan takes wheel as Asset Manager

With one of the country’s most famous race tracks in his backyard, it’s no wonder Forefront’s new Asset Manager Nathan Beard has a passion for vehicles, but it wasn’t just his experience with mechanics that saw him recently join the team at Forefront.

Nathan has lived in Bathurst all his life where he completed his apprenticeship with Kelso Automatics before working with Bathurst Holden. Starting as a mechanic, he made his way to management of the service department for three years. After twelve years working at Bathurst Holden, there’s no need to guess who he supports when the big race is on.

Nathan then bought his own business, Beard Brothers Motorcycles, which is still going strong.

“I was ready for a new challenge when managing director Anthony Redfern approached me and gave me the opportunity to work at Forefront,”

As well as having a wealth of experience in mechanics, Anthony could see the qualities he looks for in a team member – passion, commitment, and eagerness to lead the Forefront team into the future.

Nathan has been welcomed into the team in a new role at Forefront and oversees more than 40 fleet vehicles and equipment across Forefront’s three locations.

“There’s a bit to do,” Nathan jokes, but in all seriousness, he is excited about what’s to come.

“I’m looking forward to setting up processes we can follow so we know all the vehicles are serviced and safe,” Nathan said. “Technology plays a big part in this, for example, GPS trackers have been added to the vehicles so we know where they are to keep the team safe.”
